Toni Antonucci, PhD
Dr. Antonucci is a Research Professor and Director of the Life Course Development Program at the Institute for Social Research and a Collegiate Professor of Psychology all at the University of Michigan. She's a life span developmental psychologist. Her research over the past four decades was focused on individuals of all ages, both traditional and non-traditional families, including multigenerational studies of the family and comparative studies of social relations across the life span Dr. Antonucci will apply her research experience and knowledge of social convoys as well as the measurement of health and well-being to Convoy Q.
Brian de Vries, PhD
Much of Dr. de Vries research focuses on the social experiences of LGBT persons and the impact of these experiences on health and wellbeing. Another domain of his research has focused on social relationships, grief and bereavement of older spouses/partners (in an NIH- funded study) and, most recently and specifically, on the older LGBT population. Dr. de Vries' research has culminated in many peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and two co-edited books on this population.
